Kaylee Martin, a senior at Byng High School, recently learned she is Gold Key winner from “Scholastic Art and Writing”. These awards are presented by the Alliance For Young Artists & Writers, whose mission is to identify students with exceptional artistic and literary talent and present their work to the world through Regional and National Awards. This is the second consecutive year Martin was named a Gold Key winner. This year she also received Honorable Mention for Senior Portfolio.
Oklahoma students compete in the Southwest Regional, so Kaylee’s work is now being considered for a National designation. The awards give students the opportunity for recognition, exhibition, publication, and scholarships. According to Alliance, this year students across the United States submitted nearly 350,000 original works in 29 different categories.
